You can find us at:
Melway ref 73, D6. Entrance via Bunjil way of Ferntree Gully Road in Knoxfield.

The KNOX PARK facility includes:

Sprint Track | Circular Track | Long jump | Triple jump | Discus | Shot Put | High Jump |

| Javelin | Grandstand | Pavilion | Infrastructure

Sprint Track.

There are two sprint tracks at Knox Park. One being the front straight (10 lanes) and another on the back straight (8 lanes). The Track has an all weather synthetic rubber surface of Olympic standard. Hurdles are also available on both front and back straight. Time keeping and starters stands are provided.

Circular Track

The Circular track features 8 lanes of 400m. The track is marked for all circular events including 400m, 800m, 1500m and relays.

Long jump

Knox Park features a double Long Jump pit with 2 all weather synthetic rubber surfaced runups. The pit is well drained and delineated. The runups include professional take off boards that can accommodate plasticine inserts.

Triple jump

As for the Long Jump the Triple Jump pit is also a double pit again with 2 all weather synthetic rubber runups and professional take off boards.

Discus

Knox Park has 2 fully caged Discus rinks

Shot Put

A large scoria lined shot put area with a throwing position at each end

High Jump

Two synthetic high jump runs equipped with modern landing mats.

 

Javelin

Javelin can be held in two locations at Knox Park being either in the central arena or in the adjacent sports oval.

Grandstand

The Grandstand is fully covered for protection from sun and rain. It is well terraced and capable of accommodating even the largest group of supporters. The Grandstand incorporates a lighting and Public Address System independent of the main arena.

Pavilion/Canteen

Canteen facilities in the pavilion are available.

Infrastructure

Other facilities available at the Knox Park facility are:

  • Car parking for 2000 cars
  • Fully fenced enclosure
  • Turnstile entrance
  • Terraced and grassed viewing areas
  • Public Address system
  • Powerful floodlighting for entire complex
