The
Competition Season
Knox runs competition days weekly throughout the season on Friday
evening and Saturday mornings. See the calendar for the latest schedule.
Coaching sessions for track (sprints distance and relays) & field (jumps and
throws) events are held primarily on Mon & Wed evenings commencing in
September through to March with a short break over the Christmas/New Year
period. The track is reserved for Little Athletics use from 4-7pm, but start
times vary depending on the coach & event. To relieve track congestion hurdles
training is conducted on Thursday evening from 5:30-7pm. Coaching availability
varies depending on each coaches work and family commitments.
Other Centre's open days are available throughout the season for athletes
wishing to get extra competition.
Region and State level competitions are generally held towards the end of each
season. Athletes must have completed 50% of available competition days to be
eligible to compete.
