PRESIDENTS REPORT 1998/1999

I would like to thank everyone for coming today and especially the hardworking committee who have supported me throughout the year. Lisa Saker as Team Manager, Jenny Walker as Assistant Manager, Karmann Gleeson as Treasurer, Ingrid Engelhardt as Newsletter Co-ordinator, and of course my wonderful part-time Secretary Bronwyn Pratt. A special thankyou, of course, must go to Andrew Saker for cooking the BBQ every Friday night and the people who have donated the Coleslaw.

Now let's talk about the most important people, the kids!!!

We have had many representatives at Region and State Competitions this year, who have brought home medals.

We have had children participate in Sporting Camps.

There have been many personal milestones achieved, with numerous club records being broken.

The children and parents should be very proud of their achievements.

I would like to thank the parents for their eagerness to participate in raffles, Tattslotto, Cakestalls and especially duty. Without your help, none of this would be possible.

It has been a great pleasure to have worked with you all and I am hereby stepping down as President and wish the next committee great success for the year 2000 season.

Goodbye and Goodluck,

Tony Aiello

TEAM MANAGERS REPORT 1998/1999

Here we are at the end of the Summer Season. I hope that all our athletes have enjoyed themselves and will come back again for the 1999/2000 season.

We started the season with 35 athletes, which fell to 31 by the end of the season. we have had many Club Records broken along the way and over 630 Personal Bests have been recorded. The athletes nearly got me! We managed to get through the Season without running out of stars.

I was not present at the Regional Track and Field Championships this year as my son. Dave chose not to compete. I congratulate the athletes who competed in these Championships in horrible weather. Wet, cold and blustery conditions on Saturday, hot and humid on the Sunday. Congratulations to Lindel, Jurion, Kellie and Lori who progressed on to State one month later at Olympic Park.

This year we say goodbye to our only Under 15 athlete - Lindel Hodgkinson and congratulate her on achieving 9 years in Little Athletics. We would also like to congratulate - Jarryd Hodgkinson, Rachel Engelhardt, Jordon Pratt, Kellie Davis and Michael Aiello on achieving their 5 year awards. Well done to all these athletes!

I would like to thank the members of Bayswater Bullets for your support, as it has my job so much easier. Thankyou to Jenny, my assistant and everybody else who has looked after the book this season. Thanks to Bronwyn for filling the position of Secretary after the season began. Thankyou also to the whole Committee for making this year so much fun. To Kerry, thankyou for all your help through out the year and for giving us lots of cheek just to keep us on our toes.

Before I finish I am going to ask you all to consider becoming a Committee Member, because without parents support Bayswater Bullets can not function. It has been unforseen that many of us on the Committee this year would be leaving, but I'm sure there are many among you who will not let Bayswater Bullets fall by the wayside.

With regret I am standing down from my position as Team Manager as Dave has decided to quit athletics and play cricket instead. I hope to one day being involved with Bayswater Bullets again and look forward to that day.

I hope you have all enjoyed the season as I have and enjoy the next season.

Thankyou all again and have a good break from Track and Field.

Lisa Saker
