Regularly competing in Cross Country this season has paid off for some of our athletes who entered the annual Knox Cross Country Open Day. It was the largest attended Open Day in the State with well over 500 athletes from 23 different Centres competing from as far away as Albury. Bayswater Bullets athletes were instrumental in getting the Knox Centre Team over the line in their respective age groups winning two Gold Team and four Silver Team Medals as well as one Individual Bronze Medallist. Special thanks to Estera Pecek who still came down to do Parent Duty despite Matija not being able to make it from being ill the night before - hope he gets well soon. The fun "Footy Colours" Day where athletes can dress up in their favourite footy teams. U/8 Annie won the "Best Dressed Girl" with all her Collingwood gear and oversized Footy Jumper. We also say goodbye to U/6 Ashlee Dean who has ran in Cross Country for the past two seasons. She will be moving to the country and we wish her luck in any future sport that she competes in.

The Benalla long weekend is one of the best events and the most fun on the Cross Country calendar. The Knox Centre having exclusive use of the "15 Mile Creek Camp" with all types of outdoor activities - and then there is the Cross Country Open Day on the Sunday where our athletes did very well against competition from all over Victoria on the hilly terrain of the State Forest.

An overcast morning with even a better attendance for our club on this "Bring a Friend" Day. Sadly, popular Knox Centre Cross Country Team Manager George Orrock passed away during the week after a long illness with cancer and was remembered between events with not a minutes silence, but the playing of the current hit song "Forever Young" by Youth Group. Our sympathies go out to Irene, Rory and Georgia.

Started off a wet morning but it disappeared to leave some sunny spells during events. This was our best start in attendance since the mid 1990's. Great to see the resurgence in Cross Country for Bayswater Bullets! We also extend a welcome to the Waverley Centre who will be competing with Knox this Cross Country season. Despite sunny Melbourne weather, at Hanging Rock it was cold, overcast, and a little drizzle at times. Our athletes enjoyed the experience of competing at the State Level against the best Cross Country athletes in Victoria.
