Relays provide a rare opportunity for athletes to experience the comradeship of competing as a team and not as an individual. It's a great way to meet and get to know other children in your age group - especially if new to the centre!

At the end of the preceding T&F season a Relay coach is appointed for each age/gender group. The Relay coaches decide on the required training for their group and organises accordingly. Most relay training occurs at Knox Park.

Relay dates have changed this year in a major way and State relays are now held on 6th Feb 2011. This extends the relay season dramatically. To avoid disrupting coaching and training for individual events the relay coaches will typically be running training once a week or in blocks prior to the major relay competitions.

Relay Training & Competition Date's for the 2010/11 season
Relay training dates are set by the individual relay coach and vary from age group to age group. It is common for the relay coaches to enter their squad in a warm up competition. The 'warm up' competitions are the Box Hill relay invitational.
