This is page is out of date and currently being
revised. Pleases check with coaches directly if you are unsure of training days & times.
This page lists the current coaching and training
activities provided by Knox Little Athletics, mainly at Knox Park. The Knox Park
facility is used by various groups, including Knox Little Athletics Centre, and
dedicated training and competition times are allocated to each group. For
coaching/training purposes Knox LAC is allocated Monday and Wednesday evenings. Athletes can simply turn up for
any of these sessions but a courtesy call to the coach(s) is appreciated. Some
coaching/training is provided outside of the allocated times and at other venues
- call the coach directly or email HERE!!
for details. A list of
available coaches with contact information can be found
HERE!!
Due to the large numbers of athletes attending training at Knox, coaches may
sometimes have to restrict numbers where safety, control, ability and size
differences of athletes is a concern. Commencing coaching at the end of the
season when many athletes are preparing for Regional and State competitions is
perhaps not the best time to start training.
If there are competitions on or close to the day
of training or if the weather is inclement or very hot it is
best to check with the respective coach before setting off for the track - it
may have been changed.
Also many coaching sessions are suspended
during the public holiday breaks. If in doubt check with the individual coach.
