Geoff Warren

Geoff is a foundation member of the Knox Little Athletics Centre and was awarded Life Membership in 1975. He was on the Boronia West Little Athletics club Committee and ran the Cross Country in the early years as well as designing the Chandler Park track layout. Geoff is still seen often at the track and cross country watching his grand daughter Bree Warren compete.

Running third in this photo is Geoff Warren during the 1953/54 Victorian Amateur Athletics Association season. The runners finished this race in the order shown with the winner John Landy, second was a young Ron Clarke and in fourth place was John Murray. The photo was taken at Olympic Park and note the crowds they had back then. The photo was from the book "Athletics - The Australian Way" edited by Ron Clarke.
